10th Brasil CineMundi

BrasilCineMundi - International Coproduction Meeting has the purpose of increasing the contact and business network among Brazilian professionals and foreign industry representatives, facilitating connections between Brazilian independent productions and the international market, through productive partnerships and the exchange of information and actions. The program also promotes training activities, cooperation, exchange, one-on-one meetings and awards, focusing on the trends of contemporary cinema and independent production, from an authorial and innovative perspective.

  

CINEMUNDI CATEGORY – 10 Brazilian Projects


The CineMundi category has a selection of ten Brazilian feature films in a scriptwriting and/or pre-production phase, with actions directed to a specialized audience of producers and professionals of the international audiovisual market interested in knowing the new ideas of Brazilian cinema, sharing experiences and signing co-production partnerships. This action encourages and reveals talents and their inclusion in the international market.

The Official Jury chooses a winning project. Besides receiving the event’s official Horizonte Trophy, the winning project will receive cinematographic materials and services offered by partner companies. The winning project’s producer will be part of Ventana Sur - a Latin American film market that takes place in Buenos Aires.

A TorinoFilmLab representative will select a project to be part of the international lab in Italy.

A MAFF representative will select a project for the producer to be part of the International Coproduction Meeting in Spain. 

A Projeto Paradiso commission will select a fiction project of CineMundi Category or Foco Minas Category to be part of the Paradiso Incubator 2020.

The award winners will be announced at the closing ceremony.

 

DOC BRASIL MEETING CATEGORY - 6 Brazilian Projects


The Doc Brasil Meeting category aims to construct networks, cooperation, an exchange of experience for promoting and disseminating Brazilian documentaries in the audiovisual market. The proposal is to provide a space for dialogue, reflection, consulting and networking with the presence of representatives of foreign industry and Brazilian professionals who are active in the documentary market.

A DocMontevideo representative will choose a project for the producer to be part of the meetings in the next edition of the event in Uruguay. The winning project will receive cinematographic materials and services offered by partner companies.

The Corporación Chilena del Documental commission will select a project for the producer to be part of Conecta in Chile.

The award winners will be announced at the closing ceremony.

 

FOCO MINAS CATEGORY - 6 Brazilian Projects


The category Foco Minas has the purpose of expanding the presence of projects originated in Minas Gerais, to ensure accreditation and participation in meetings and international consulting promoted by Brasil CineMundi, to further the local audiovisual development.

An international guest will choose a project to receive cinematographic materials and services offered by partner companies.

A DocSP representative will choose a documentary project for the producer to be part of the next edition of the event in São Paulo.

A Projeto Paradiso commission will select a fiction project of CineMundi Category or Foco Minas Category to be part of the Paradiso Incubator 2020.

The award winners will be announced at the closing ceremony.
